i put a new reduction chain in it. #35 roller chain.
rebuilt the carb. tilly hl, complete kit. it ran good .i put it on the shelf for a couple of years. now my back is too bad to start it. the last time my neighbor helped me try to start it but it wouldnt pull fuel. worked on a prime in the plug hole but wouldn't stay running. may pump some fuel to the carb to prime it, then it should run. do not feel like pulling the carb again. i have other kitted carbs this age that work fine. up to you if interested.

the sproket on the bar is to convert to .404 chain. the chain on the saw is 1/2" in very good shape.
