Give the tank seal time to cure.

Just kidding ya, knew what it was for, fuel tank reminds me of a Poulan GT trimmer I once had.
But think about it, is a good idea.

Weedeater I bought new over thirty years ago. Never could get it to run right from the day I got it.

Removed the tank and consigned it to the trash.

It has been replaced by a Ryobie of similar vintage that I resurrected.

1 owner poulan 5400 I just got. Original owner said just been setting for at least 10 years and was bought back when they burned wood and had to cut up a big oak on the ole farm place.
I didnt even try to start it. Just pulled it over. Not going to keep as not series of big poulans I run.

 you can tell been raining all day.

Now, See what you started. LOL

First dibs, if it’s a runner!

Should be and it's 5400 not 52 just so you know.

Cylinder is clean on ext side looking through plug hole. Going to throw a fuel line on it and see if she pops off.

Covers off now and clean like a homeowner firewood cutter saw would have for just big wood.

2 chains came with it and one on it was a poulan chain. Windsor tipped bar.

Cleaned up, would look nice next to my 5200, but I have my holy grail.

Steve

Funny thing I found the 8500 first and sold this time last year. Now a 5400 and will sell it too. Still havent come across the 5200 local yet.

No holy grail saws for me as I dont collect. But I do like to search and find them.
