I just sold a little more than half a cord of green oak, @8"x16" for $50.

I told the guy I was clearing and acre of oak forest for pasture and he said he would take 20 cord of 8 ft logs at $80 a cord.

It will all be 12" or less as I am keeping the rest for lumber, @3000 bdft.

I will then sell the tops at $100 a cord green and stove length. Unsplit.

Are these prices reasonable? I will only have to move the logs about 150ft and I have a tractor and a Lewis winch for that. He will pick them up with his trailer.

I just bought 45000lbs of honey locust for around $40 a cord delivered. I figure that's almost 11 or more cord.

sounds to me like a deal..if you feel like you can make money at that price go with it.

8' hardwood is selling anywhere from $100 to 125 a cord around here. Cut split and delivered is $200-275.

Log cords of mixed hardwood delivered are running $70-90 here. A few places have 10 cord minimums, the majority won't deliver less than 20 cord at those prices.

Thanks for the replies.

It looks like the price is about right for around here.

Lots of unemployed people with chainsaws here.

It would be nice to sell all to one person, less hassle. That's worth something.
