I've been following some of the threads on splitters and was wondering what should a guy expect to spend on a good, quality splitter. Wouldn't have to be top-of-the-line, but not junk either - somewhere in the middle. I have access to a splitter (ran by a 8hp engine, ex U-Haul rental, not sure how many ton) that I use for my own firewood supply, and to split any extra wood I cut to sell for some extra money. But I would like to own my own splitter one day (about the same size as the one I now use in regards to engine size) if my extra firewood selling takes off. Right now I'm running figures as to future plans.
