Pro watching some jack @$$ blow by you in the snow and see then in the ditch few miles up the road. Love when that happens. Give the horn a toot and drive by.

Heat kills things just as fast as cold does.

I always hear people say this but I've never seen any proof that it's true.

Machines operate far worse in the cold. Batteries operate worse in the cold. Steel becomes more brittle. Vehicles can still overheat when it's -20, it's the way they're designed. You can't put water in a radiator in the winter. Pipes freeze. Etc....

Cold is OK, really cold and sub-zero temps suck!
I do like burning wood and staying warm though :)
I can not take the heat so Fall/Spring are my favorite seasons, I used to ski and snowmobile but don't do either of those things any more.
It was 79* here about a week and a half ago, single digits last night.

So batteries last in Phoenix? How about dashboards? Roads don’t heave in high heat situations? Shall we keep going?

All pros; I get more work done because I want to be outside, the electric bill drops by about $200 a month, no critters in the wood pile, less a**bags out and about, no need for ice in cooler or coozie on my barley pop, no grass cutting and the 3hrs of weed whacking
Only con is the garden and cost of fresh fruits and veggies

I live to be in the woods in the winter. No bugs! The lakes and streams and rivers freeze solid enough to drive a truck on. I can make snowmachine trails that are as hard and smooth as a new sidewalk all through the woods. I can see tracks from all the critters that used my trail since the last snow. Yeah, babybart lists the biggest downside, no fresh garden veggies, store veggies get here by barge, not so fresh anymore.

Pros: Spearing through the ice and no bugs

Cons: -20 sucks, I have to put the shorts away when temps drop below zero, cold means no daylight, beer freezes if you leave it outside or in your vehicle, shoveling, salt on your vehicle, nose running all the time, crap breaks way easier in the cold!

I doubt they do any worse than in Alaska.

Roads are another great example of something that does far worse in the cold than the heat.

I'll give you the dashboard although I've never lost sleep over one.

I love all the seasons except summer. Summer I only 'like.' Or rather, I'd love it if I lived out west. Humidity just kills me and I sweat like a pig.

Winter is great, I love shoveling snow, I love walking in it and hearing the muffled crunch and the beauty of snow-covered everything. Watching the kids play in it, getting into snowball fights and building snow forts. Just wish we'd get more snow in our area.

Love coming in from the cold and warming up by the fire, that glorious radiant heat causing you to shudder with enjoyment. Ahh!

But I get tired of it and then Spring comes with the flowers, the trees filling out again, and the beauty and life of the world. But then the yardwork also begins.
Planting the garden, (and later not getting much because of the critters), having hope of a beautiful yard and all that. It's inspiring.

Then summer comes, and I sweat all the time, keep the AC on high, and my poor wife freezes while I boil. Ugh.

Fall is the best of all. fires out in the firepit, it gets darker in the evenings, that brisk feel to the air without being cold, and yet the days can still be very pleasant.

It's a beautiful world we live in, so find the blessings in each day and learn to enjoy them, even in the season you like the least.:clap::drinkingcoffee:

My feet freeze from October to May. I’ve tried everything. I’ve researched the causes and can’t find my problem. My wife says it’s all in my head and she may be right.
If I’m out cutting wood in cool weather, I never notice it until I stop.
I’m an outdoors guy and dislike the short daylight hours. I would go nuts in Alaska.
I see Big guys that wear shorts in the winter. I’m envious.
there is a wool sock,,which I found out about, and wear now..name aint there,,but you can buy them for cheap on ebay..stops the cold feet...just thought of it,,marino wool,,great stuff,,soft, not scratchy

Cold air is like having a turbocharger on your saw. Cold, dry, dense air... just remember to retune that saw.

No mosquitoes
No ticks... I f-ing hate ticks,, really hate them. Did I mention that ticks suck. They get under my skin, literally.
No(less) sweat running down my crack
I also hate them because I found out I have lymes after the 4tb time going to the er with fevers of almost death and getting blood drawn multiple times. They think iv had it for two to three years but I just ignored symptoms beings I work construction and always hurt. They say if u get the bullseye rash u have lymes but only half of people get the rash.

I can think of more cons for summer than winter but I don’t like frozen pipes or when the occasional buddy calls and says his tractor or Jeep or truck is out in the middle of no where on a -20 day and won’t start or broke a u joint or whatever.
Pros I love cutting wood in the winter, ice fishing, hunting, sleeping in front of the wood stove. Snow rides with the jeep

I got the rash right away but no other symptoms for months!

Once I got the fevers and stuff I got a bunch of rashes that were purple on the middle and gradually turned back to skin color about ten inches round. Probaly thirty of them or so.

First they thought I had meningitis then it was lymes then west Nile then anaplasmosis all came back negative so they sent a sample to Boston to a lymes specialist and was positive.

They think I had it for so long because lymes gets worse in stages of not treated. Was on doxycycline for a month then all symptoms went away that I had except iv been off of it for 4 months now and I have a hard time concentrating. Reading blueprints and making material lists is very hard for me now. It’s like I have no spare memory and can’t remember numbers I have to write everything down as i go It sucks
