Looks to me like "weld it back on" might be tricky due to position / location. I think I would consider modifying to usual clamp down arrangement......Oh, and a little lube perhaps ?

Nice AMT. Handier than a pocket on a shirt

(As long as you don’t want to turn or stop fully loaded)

Stuff happens. Bend and weld. Back to work

Beat me to it! Nice 622. I just sold mine a few months ago. Mine was missing the engine and front cowl. I was going to cut it off and make a dump trailer for my JD x540. A guy wanted to restore it so I let it go for $100.

I got our 626 for a song with a cracked engine block. Had it welded but it did not hold. Replaced it with a 13hp clone. Had to fab up an intake and exhaust and a choke linkage, but other than that it was pretty straight forward. Clone engine has a tiny alternator, so I just installed an old car battery and charge it every month or so.
I logger-load it (toss blocks on until something gives, then take off one stick) and it never complains. Since I built our splitter, I now cut blocks in the bush, drag them home in the gator and split them at the woodshed, stacking the splits right off the splitter.
