Question:
I have some 30’ red cedars that have all their bulk at least 20’ off the ground.

If I take the tops out of these guys, will they fill in lower down?

I’d like to save them, prune or trim them toact as a privacy hedge if I can get them to “Bush out” down low.

Will it work?

It's not going to work.

Have you looked into low growing shrubs like azealeas, etc. to fill in at ground level and up?
