Redoing my old splitter

Redoing my log splitter thought you guys might like to see it new seals new motor and paint. Let me know what you guys think.

Interesting wedge design, I never thought of a swivel wedge before.

Haha no my dad started shooting deer in 1980 and every deer goes on the wall. The wedge swivel works great 2 bolts and just turn it. The 4 way was from Webb farm supply in California.

Went with a predator 8hp engine and got the cylinder all together and engine mounted on new decal on. New filter and hose on and should be splitting wood by Saturday morning as long as there is no LEAKS.. alot harder than I thought to get everything back together on the hydraulic side

Thanks. Which engine oil does it take 30w or 15-40. It was running on 15-40 just wondering if it work work better with 30w.

What did you clean it up with? A grinder and wire wheel

Power washed then wire wheel two coats of paint

Manual for mine states

10w30 for above 32deg
5w30 for below 32deg
