I bought this 555 off of here recently, it only has about 2 1/2 hrs run time. I gave it a good cleaning, and then did mods on it, nothing major, but a very nice running saw now. The carburetor was removed, disassembled inspected and cleaned, the cylinder was removed, I took the piston off and cleaned it. The cylinder and piston looked great, new, so I only cleaned them. The 555 transfer covers were removed from the cylinder, everything cleaned, then I installed a set of 562xp transfer covers. While the cylinder was off the mount right above the clutch was removed, this was done to improve cooling, all the new models 555 and 562 have this mount gone. I also trimmed the cylinder cover to improve cooling. The muffler has been ported for better cooling and performance, 2 holes in front and in back the baffle holes have been enlarged. Everything was lubed up and put back together, I used a brand new oem base gasket on the re assembly. The primer system has been deleted, these saws run better without them. This saw is in like new condition and ready to cut. I cut some cookies with it, I like the way it runs, cuts right with my 2019 562xp, and some say the 555 is a torque'er saw. I put a Husqvarna decal on the top cover, can be easily removed with no residue if new owner prefers. I have a couple options for bar and chain. One is a brand new 18" Tsumura lightweight bar, .325 .050 with a new Stihl RS chain, and the other option is the original bar and chain that came with it, a 18" Husqvarna bar and chain, 3/8 .058. This is a really nice saw in mint condition, ready to cut. asking $495 with Tsumura bar and chain $450 with Husqvarna bar and chain. Depending on your location can possibly ship a couple dollars or free. payment with paypal/friends/family.
Will ship out the next business day and send you a tracking number to it.
