I’ve had the mill for about 4 months never even put gas or oil in because I knew if I did I would never finish the trailer.. so basically the trailer is to move around my wood area or to the in laws wood lot a few miles away..nothing special but getting there I added about 4 foot extensions because I wanted to cut a 12 foot board. The thing with the long shaft is a new log clamp seen a you tube video and looked slick..enjoyF049FD19-1967-441A-9077-E341F36294B9.jpegEE5FDBF4-017F-45BE-8838-C79F966BC215.jpeg61B77605-1630-4F25-A564-EFF57692E984.jpeg98B12F44-9DBA-4DCA-A54D-CB10F109AD42.jpeg633770F6-6A1C-47E8-BA48-C3C9C61FDB79.jpeg6EFD2393-1426-4FD6-A742-BB562C9AA801.jpeg A3AAB7ED-3CE1-424F-8A61-1D984B97A411.jpeg

Light weight structural can twist. You might need jacks so it can be leveled at cereal points. Your going to box level it too. Think about box leveling like a pool table.

Being a machine builder and a welder fabricator this imported structural steel we use today is garbage. I’ve seen channel twist like a pretzel when I torch cut it or go to weld it. Just a note. It’s not like our steel from the USA.

I will be putting 4-6 jacks under and adding a few braces I wish I would have made it from 2x4 1/4 wall instead of 2x2 1/4 it will stiffen up once it all gets welded together but it is still lighter duty.. it’s basically just for moving around the property once it’s setup I’ will have plenty of jacks/stands under it

I hope our president brings the steel production back to our country. It’s also the way that steel is produced today too. The Swedes decades ago started using electric furnances. It improved the quality of there steel. My dad was a experimental proto type machines and he always asked for Swedish steels. He said they were easy to machine. I believe the Japanese use electric furnances too. The cost of switching from coke to electric furnances, plus the cut down on pollution makes it worth it as the quality gets better.
