I found a site for Makita tools and my saw looks a lot like the makita saw, but how would I find a model number for a Dolmar saw from Makita? My saw has to be around 10 to 15 years old, but its a good saw, am I wasting my time? Also is the Makita saw a good saw to have if it is realy a Dolmar, The $ I found is a little lower than a stihl.

Yes, its a great saw. Not sure where to find model numbers for it. Its worth fixing unless its major. Just take it to a local saw shop maybe they can help you. Good luck.
