Second growth fir in old growth stump

This is 2 houses down from mine, and across the street from work. I noticed it a few years ago and couldn’t believe it when I did. My guess is the fir is at least 100 years old given the age of the first settlers in this area. Most came through 120-130 years ago so that’s my estimate when the old growth cedar tree was taken down. Pretty cool to see such a large stump with springboard notches and a massive fir growing out of it! That fir is every bit of 36”+ at the base.14338BC3-527F-4A2E-A163-F04CBC86B9C3.jpeg
