Can we determine which models in the Yamabiko lineup have lineage in either line? I’ve ran hundreds of pieces of Shindaiwa over the years (mainly 230 trimmers), and prefer them. I know they cross brand their saws, for instance i have a Shindaiwa 502s that is also the Echo 500p but I don’t know who designed it between the two? I guess at this point they’ve been the same company for so long the newer stuff is designed by both groups? Just curious, kind of wish these companies would quit consolidating, kind of nice to have variety. Same goes with Zenoah and Husky.

Dunno in wide knowledge, but the CS-352 that my FIL bought says Yamabiko. But I don't know if it's also cross-branded as a Shindaiwa.

Since it sounds like Yamaha enough, I was sold from the beginning even though it is not called a Stihl. It's a really, really great little saw.
