Shutting down Central Boiler for first time

Hey all, I’m in the process of shutting down my central boiler classic for the first time. Just had it installed last November.

I seem to have a lot of creosote stuck on the side walls of the fire box. Is this normal? Do I need to scrape all of that off? I know I need to apply a coat of motor oil to the inside of the chamber, does the buildup need to be scrapped first?

Is this a stainless or mild steel firebox? I know they made them both ways in the last year or so.
Stainless is pretty impervious to rust. Mild steel needs to be kept dry all summer. No condensation.

Has that firebox been repaired? Shut mine down, treat and top off water, scrape firebox, cap chimney, clean water filter, close water line valves, shut off power and make sure door is tight.
