Congrats to the buyer!! This is a nice saw!
Whatcha buying now Skip?
The 372 is shipped to the new owner should arrive Tuesday ! Enjoy
A creamsicle right Chris.
I wonder why there is a blue choke lever, but a side mounted decomp button? I suppose one possibility is that it has a 390XP carb upgrade when Brad did the port job. I can't tell from the blurriness in the photo, and the bottom of the side label is cropped out, but it looks like a recent x-torq saw serial plaque (which would explain why the plastics look so clean). If that is the case it would make more sense that the original engine got burned up and the jug and top cover were replaced (which would explain the missing labels on top) by a pre-xtorq cylinder/piston. I wonder if it is all OEM, or if it is a AM piston?
Those are fine questions that I would love the answer to. The more I know about my new saw the better.
I built this saw from scratch starting with NOS cases. Most parts on the saw are new, OEM. I forget if I bought the cylinder new or used. It's definitely OEM. The piston is either OEM or Meteor. I wouldn't use anything else. The model plate was custom made by myself. Yes it has a carb upgrade. No secrets here.
Saws built from scratch? Custom serial plates? Custom grind jobs to the cylinder? Stop the insanity!
Was this what you did?
Hi guys brad will have too answer any of these questions pm him I am sure he will answer. You .
All I can say is the saw run extremely well , its very fast cutting
Congrats on surviving the ordeal.
I had the air filter cover off to check it was there and clean . and obviously the clutch cover .
Thanks buddy happy easter . the buyer should have his new saw Tuesday
a buddy I work with is so excited. he's been a tree guy for 15+ years and has never run a modified saw. He has always been curious but never pulled the trigger. This might be the push he has needed.
It will he will feel the difference
That'll tell you everything you need for the carb swap.
Don't let him run it, he'll be doomed, just like your going to be..
I know you don't know what I mean now, but you'll understand soon enough....lol
They sure will lol
so I've been watching the tracking number on this saw. The second it said delivered I left work went home and grabbed it! great packaging Skippy! Saw was nice and clean as well. Heading to the yard now to put a bar and chain on it and see what we're working with! Updates to follow
Better be a big boy bar in big wood to appreciate the power on this saw. Pics or it didn't happen.
