Trying to get back into carving. Thought I'd share to get some feedback.

2 horse heads. Roughed a couple blanks from 8" cherry biscuits with the carving saw.MVIMG_20181223_202700245.jpg IMG_20181223_202702398.jpg IMG_20181223_202706960.jpg IMG_20181223_184303025.jpg IMG_20181223_184258925.jpg IMG_20181223_221007566.jpg IMG_20181223_221011535.jpg IMG_20181223_221014406.jpg IMG_20181223_221019906.jpg Dremel with a carbide for the details. Took about 1.5 hrs each. They split a little across the crease of the neck, was too green for intense oiling to save.

Made for Christmas presents this year.

Sign for a local horse retirement farm. Ghetto milled some slabs, words done with the carving saw, some touch up for aesthetics. Red primer on the heart, mapp gas to burn. About 6 hours in this one. The wood was softer than anticipated in the upper corner, but it wasn't a paid piece.
