    You are right! My apologies. I have gone back and edited the post to be correct.

    My only excuse is that I never got to use that gun, and I never was that much of a gun buff. You see, my older brother had the rifle, and I never really got to use it. I checked with him, and he confirmed the caliber was indeed 8mm.

    He also said that it was a very heavy slug, and knocked deer down like they were hammered. I'm guessing that might just have been the rounds that he happened to purchase.

    I appreciate the effort, but it looked real to me. We have lots of that kind of trimming around here. You probably can't go 5 blocks anywhere in KC without seeing a topped tree. They are much less prevalent in the recent years, though.
