I have an issue with the -1 given. Nowhere in the question does it say to estimate your answer. So the answer that is given is correct in my eye. Would this also be correct?
    103-3=100
    28-3=25
    100-25=75

    The answer is "yes".

Why deduct a point for giving the correct answer, AND for showing how you derived that answer?

Going from memory here, and it's buried deep, really deep........

Well, technically they are the same, they are all "Chelonia". Turtles have webbed feet or flippers and spend the majority of their time in water. Tortoises don't have webbed feet and spend the majority of their life on land (never say never when it comes to critters). Terrapins aren't as large as turtles or tortoises, but they DO have webbed feet and spend most of their life in water. All lay their eggs on land.

    O.K. how'd I do?

Yep. Since the student was down checked on it, the lesson must have been for 'estimating'

I can see that you were never a mathematics tutor. Helping your own kids doesn't count, either, but it certainly should have shown you how screwed up they are teaching math these days. Don't get me started on the new "modern math".

You pulled Chelonia out of your reserve knowledge? No research at all? o_O
If so, I am impressed. I would expect everyone to miss that except an expert in the field.

Otherwise...nice try, but not really the correct answer. The webbed feet thing isn't really a defining attribute for the nomenclature under discussion, but almost certainly part of their taxonomy. The only reason I am bringing this up is because I have been getting corrected all my life by folks that thought they knew the right word for this or that Chelonian, but they were wrong.
