    I liked the Turtill in theory and tried to see what the general thought on them was. They are too new to have any reviews. They don’t look like they would do well in a mulched garden. Running on a dirt garden they looked like they would work great. Better for Vegatables than flowers. Think I’ll wait and see.

    They would auto fill with spray, and its not hard to get a continuous spray mixer so as long as you left it with enough spray concentrate and water, your probably good to go for some time as they would charge and fill without assistance. You'd run (owning or renting) double the drones, just to make up for bad weather, break downs and down time charging. you'd only need the tech guys if to many came offline at once.

    Personally I think robotic ground based robots would be more cost effective and be able to do more, from ground prep to harvest. Currently they think they are not far from a machine that will be able to scan a cotton row, identify weeds and individually kill them (there is talk of using a waterjet to cut the weed to shreds), identify plants struggling and give them more fert or insecticide etc as required, all in one pass.
