ooooh ooohh pick me! Ok I may not know as much as others, but I actually did this once on a trip to South Carolina to see Grandpa. I was about 11 or so and BORED. I cannot remember the number but I wrote a tick mark for each group of 5 licks. That was a while ago. I guess it would depend on the aggressiveness of the lick and for the life of me I cannot remember the number. That was about 1982....

I've sat w/ folks in Hospice that did that. There rationale was they were dying anyway with no hope of a cure so they were going to enjoy
    their habits

Unc, I knew a guy that had one lung removed because of lung disease from smoking. He was on Oxygen after that and STILL smoked. This was in the mid 1990's. Sad to see someone with their priorities so out of whack.

I didn't believe it, and had to verify it for myself.

I'm torn on the whole concept honestly. A child getting into the workforce who hasn't even hit puberty yet. Don't know how Belgium is, but in the U.S. he'd hit a wall with Child Labor laws until he was over 15 or 16 depending on the state.

Child labor laws don't keep you from hiring children, they just restrict the hours & protect the little varmints from dangerous conditions.

Besides, he isn't looking for work yet anyway. By the time he gets all that education, he won't be confronted by any more child labor laws.
