not too awful sure of the specs but i think a 250 is around 75-80 cc and it will run a 36" bar. or at least that i what i run on mine. for those saws none of the bar manufactures list the bars any more but the standard mount homelite bars fit right up prefectly if you ground the back of the slot out. i have seen a 380 before but i have never ran one.

Only that? How does it compare physically to an SXL-925? At least from the photos on the web, the 250 seems much bigger.

The Mac 250 1964-70 4.9ci(80cc), bore 2.125x stroke 1.375,
6.25:1 comp ratio,19.5lbs
Mac 380 1963-64 5.3ci(86cc), bore 2.125x stroke 1.5,
6.25:1 comp ratio, 21lbs
Mac Super 250 1970 5.3ci(86cc), bore 2.125x stroke 1.5
comp ratio 7.3:1,20.5lbs

Hope this helps

physically toa sxl-925 they are a little bit longer cause they have a bigger gas tank. but i would put my money on the homelite first. the mac will shake the death out of you and make you go death. i am not sure if it is the saw or the sheer noise that the saw makes which takes down the tree whith those old macs.
