SPLIT double trunk Hickory

We fell a tree trunk in between a double trunk hickory and it split on the sides at the base.Homeowner wants to keep the tree Just wanna know what your opinion is and if the tree can survive.Thanks in advance.

Yes it can be saved by rodding and cabling installed by an expert.

Try Guy Mueller if yur in the Carolina's, if not, Bartlett'll do it.

Through bolt galvanized steel hardware, none of that cobra BS.
