Nope

show me what it does to a knarly piece of oak or locust. Straight grained dry maple? Great. Cherry or oak? doubt it.

I don't think this splitter is for that person who cuts and processes everything under the sun--no matter the size, the knots, the grain, the species of tree. I could see this working for somebody who process smaller stuff, knotless hard wood (limbs from bigger trees maybe), softer wood, and straight wood. Might be good for splitting shorter wood for smaller stoves. it is definitely not for the majority on this site. I would like to try one though.
