We used to have sled dog races here a few years ago, those dogs are well cared for and live to pull the sleds! Amazing to watch them work! There has been a lack of snow in the recent past, but this year we are doing well with the snowpack, I’d love to see the sled dog races come back! Thanks for sharing.

Got daffodils blooming in the yard...don't mean it's not going to turn colder than a well diggers ass again before it's over for the year.

Yes, March comes in like a lamb and out like a lion. My oldest son was born the night of a 38 inch snow storm on the 28th. Hospital is 70 miles from my house and I got stuck about half way home in a drift. I left the truck with keys in it and started to head down the road as my parents lived only ten miles away. Ended up walking three and the county grader picked me up. They where hard miles.

The whistler ducks started arriving the other day. Looks like they made it back from Mexico safely.

We have at least a month before we know what the ground looks like. Still getting two or three calls a day asking for wood delivery at any price. A pick up bed of mixed Oak and Pine for $250 which is 1/4 cord. Many people are charging a $100 for delivery. I thought nobody would pay $600 for a cord of Oak guess again. It seems that I can not raise my prices fast enough. Umteen people have called telling me their furnace quit and need wood today. Maybe spring is a little ways off. Thanks

The longer days aren't bad. Light around 8AM, dark around 6:30. (Dead of winter it's about 10-5). Still chilly though. Was -5* this morning, high of about 20*.
