Sthil rebuild question. MS 460 on a 310 body?

Im having to rebuild my Stihl MS 310. The piston is bad and need bearings. Since Im buying a rebuild kit anyway can I just buy a 460 engine and put it in the 310 body? Never done a rebuild before.

Nope. You could put an ms390 top end on it. Totally different construction from the 290/310/390 series to the 460.
