When you do your final adjustment it should be freshly cleaned, they get a reasonable amount of restriction in well less then an hour. Normal for me on my stihls of that generation they get attended to near every tank of fuel. Open the air box , tap the filter lightly a few or more times and dump out the chips, dust etc. About an extra minute and it keeps performance tops.

The 3/8 lp chain of choice for the small saws I own is the Stihl PS. A lot faster and smoother cutting than a semi chisel. For .325 the 23 RS pro is first choice.
This Stihl series can have very choked mufflers, a good mod can make a large difference in power.
