I am the second owner of this saw and it has done great until I let my neighbor use it. He says he didn't but the top end was destroyed.
So I've bought a few parts here and there but I believe my son used a couple of the smalls to finish one f his builds.
I bought a used OEM 44mm cyl and a AM piston and rings, changed the fuel line and filter. When it runs I just cannot seem to find the right carb setting besides I found a HDA-87 HUSKY 262xp saw. FINALLY only took 3 yrs. So here is the good and bad
Good:
Piston and cylinder in great shape maybe a little scotch Brite but personally I believe they are great.
Plastics and covers are in nice condition.
Crank turns freely.
Is pro model fully adjustable carb, side tensioner, adjustable oiler.
Tank and crankcase in good shape.
Bad:
Needs linkage, AV mounts centers, kill wires are due for replacement, needs air filter,needs either a plug or a decomp valve.
Like I said when it has the throttle linkage itll run, but runs a bit off. Ill send along a AM intake boot. Has new Oregon fuel line and filter. It wouldn't take much I think to have a nice runner with minimal cash in it. Looking to get $135 plus shipping PayPal f&f or add 3% if paying for goods. If I'm way off please let me know I'm easy to get along with.
