got both. cut bout same, imo, don't gaf bout 10ths either. 038m has 8p, givin bout same speed as 044 w/7. both have no gaskets, otherwise stock. 044 gets lil + in [less] weight dept. if I had to choose, it be 038m. just think it's built lil better.

stock for stock, tuned on the money, an 044 will make an 038m look like a piece of **** lol i actually had an 038m to work with last week on a job away from home. just a bunch of snags and burn victims beside a house needing down. fell one and i threw that POS in the shed, did it all with a 365 chusqy lol

Mines the original AV so it's giving away 10cc right out of the gate. Newer saw would be cheaper then a good Bing carb and one mag P&C.

390 Husky is on my wants list.

Finding either that doesn't look like it was dragged behind a truck is the challenge.

Just like any model, the bigger the better as far as collector value, so the 038 Mag II is followed by the 038 Mag seem to have the most collector value.
Same saw.

One masterpiece i want 041G. Envy

I hope I got Stihl covered in my sig. Would love a 090G and 041G yet. Want a SP125 MAC and 1130G homo

Powder coated restoration.

no reason to stress out our day trying to get something done with an 038 lol rather show you how much more bad ass your 044 is

Beautiful saws! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Brad, yours look great as well! I was actually offered a never fueled 090G last year, but a friend of mine is a bigger 090 nut than I am so I turned him on to it. I have one of each model of the 090, that is enough for me. This is another one of my favorites. It is original and never been apart either.
