Buy a 440 tank. The 044 is going to be hard to come by in good condition.

Just keep your wanted ad up and current, there are still plenty of serviceable if not beautiful tanks out there and one will come along.

Jerry, wont the 046 tank be a match?

The 046 tank can be used but its not a straight up swap since the 046 tank is wider than the 044 one, the airfilter air box does not fit directly, some trimming or bending with heat is needed. I have done at least 3 of these swaps and its doable with the things I mentioned, all the rest of the parts are compatible.

I see member ,northwestsaws has a tank for sale, you should contact him and see if it will work for your application, I think it would. There is two tanks, look for the one off the 461
