Stihl 044 Zama C3M Carbs.

Looking at the Zama carb page there's a number of C3M S5 models, anyone know what the differences are?

Ok, what Zama carbs (C3M-S5?) are typically fitted to early 044 saws in the US and Canada?

Zama C3M S5E.
This one's fitted to an Australian market 044.
Interesting place to hide the Carb model number, behind the fuel line!

044 saws had C3M-S5E and C3M-S5G carburetors.

The valve jet, throttle shaft and lever, low speed and high speed adjusting screws of carburetors C3M - S5G, and some others had been modified. That means the C3M-S5G is the newer revised version.

No, I only know the C3M-S5E and -S5G versions. Between the S5E and S5G carburetor was a -S20/A carburetor which was technically updated to the same level as the -S5G carburetor.
