Hi I have a STIHL 066 saw for sale.
Very powerful OEM saw, everything works as it should. In almost original condition, starter has been changed, has an MS 660 starter now.
Im asking $500 shipped PHO. I accept PayPal.

I believe that's an early 064. At least the air cleaner cover setup is.
If it was an 064 the 660 recoil wouldn't catch the flywheel. Due to the 064 flywheel not being as deep as the 066 flywheel.

Early 066’s had the same set up
I know later 064's had the 066 type filter. I would have thought that by the time the 066 was out that the old filter system would have been long gone. In fact only the first two years of 064 had that style filter so by 87 it should have been gone.

It has a clear tank and 066 flywheel (because of the starter assembly), I can't see it being and 064.
Some late 064 had clear tanks mine does But as you stated its 660 starter. The easist way to tell 066 from 064 is to pull the clutch and look at oiler. If it has external oil line going to bar oil plate then it's 064 if no external oil line then it's 066

Here you go. This is another way to decipher what you have.
