Hi all,
So a mate was given a clapped out 076 and it ended up in my shed as it was not able to start. I got it going and it seems to run well so I decided to give it a tidy up which resulted in stripping right down and now I’m thinking of giving it a coat of paint.
My question is to do with the ignition trigger under the flywheel. Does anyone know if it adjustable and must be set when putting back together? I want to take it off but don’t want to yet until I know I can put it back together. It’s the half donut type.
Any help is appreciated
Cheers

Nope, the trigger isn't adjustable. They put it under there in lieu of points.

You can paint the saw, but it usually won't stick worth a hoot, and soon looks worse than if you'd left it alone.

The best way is to powder coat it, but it's a hell of a lot of prep work.

Hey mate. Thanks for the info. Looks like one screw had a small bush for location which is great.
Iv got plenty more ‘unrelated questions’ to come
Cheers mate
