Stihl 08 starter ring

I picked up this saw earlier this week and it did pull over till I cleaned it. Now it doesn’t grip and I ordered a new plastic starter ring. I’m looking for suggestions to pulling the old metal one out. I had found a YouTube video of installing the plastic one but I haven’t come across one to pull the old ring out. Thanks for the reply. I watched that one before posting. He is replacing a plastic ring for plastic.
