the 075 is beeing built now , the 030 is in trade mode , a very dependalble collector traded me a white 015 and a 030 for some vintage poulan stuff he is wanting .. 066 awaiting parts to rebuild top end , connecting rod bearings gave up and went thru jug like shotgun blast.

I have a chance to buy a nice 028 WB with a 20" bar for 150.00(maybe 125.00). It's supposed to look and run great. If y'all tell me it's a GREAT buy, I'll have it thursday night!...........

I wouldn't say GREAT buy, but from what you describe its sounds like a very good deal. Very well regarded saw. You can't touch a new saw of that caliber for 125-150 bucks thats for sure. I say check it out and go for it if it runs good.

031av starting problem

031 av wont start compression test show 125 PSI. The spark was inconsistent so I assumed a bad condenser. I do not have a flywheel remover tool so instead of pulling the flywheel, I bought a mega fire ignition conversion kit. Has anyone done this on a 031av? I can't seem to find anywhere to mount it. I rebuilt the carb. dropped a few drops of fuel mixture into carb. and directly into cylinder and still not even a hint of it trying to fire. I thunk the spark weakens under compression not letting it fire so I would like to try putting on the mega fire kit if anyone can help...Thanks:confused:
