Does anybody know for sure what this figure of current runtime (139:58:57 )actually means?
This TS500i cutoff saw is over three years old. 139 hours sounds way,way low for an everyday all day use cutoff saw?
Surely this TS500i saw doesn't have 139days on it?
That's just not feasible to me.20200217_132007.jpg

Hours:Minutes:Seconds

FWIW there are 12 seconds in a year.

Hello Mark.

Nope.
That peticilar info is not in there....

There is no way this saw only has 139hrs. I'm the only person who has touched it, and it's the original computer module too. It's rough and has about 3-1/2 years of commercial use on it, cutting rebar and concrete.

This is why I'm not here often.

You could do a simple experiment.
Go out and run the saw for an hour, and do another reading. You will also realize how much actual sawing it would take to register an hour.

1) A couple things to know would be that if you think about how long it takes for the average cut and its not like it idles all day. Its make a cut for a few minutes, shut down, start back up, cut, shut down.
2) On the MDG it will say if its the original ECM or if its a spare part OR if the serial matches the saw or not.

It's the original ECM, and matches the serial upon the MDG self detection.
You could be right though on the total accumulated run time.
Maybe it's like top fuel dragsters; --in how they only run a few seconds at a time, but it's full blast.

I don't have a 500i right here to do the math but I tend to take the runtime then divide the starts to see how long the average is for it per start. Kinda puts things in perspective.
