Stihl MS 250 hard to pull, I have a magic Bullitt for it

The ms 250 is a bear for the older folks to start I have started putting the Elasto start ropes in them , looks like it is helping. Part # 0000 190 3402.
You can put an EZ start on them but it is cost prohibited as you must change the flywheel too

The made in China versions were worse than the USA or German versions. Been putting elasto start handles on them and other brands for years
the 1128 190 3400 is better for less jolting

I added dual pawls to the starter which seems to help as well. Kit off Amazon but Stihl parts should work as well. Looked just like my 036 parts.
Might have to try the Elasto Start as well.

And here I was expecting something in a large caliber... Just kidding, I like my 250 quite a bit, it was easier to start once broken in.

Also found the rescue saw D handle helps. Don't know if it would work with Elasto-Start or not.

elesto start is about the handle. cannot use any other handle

It seems to have helped mine. Haven't used it much since I installed but have started it several times and it's been an improvement.

The 250 is not for pansies and Nancy's.

If you cannot crank it you need to get yourself a Hoover Around wheel chair and a Battery operated saw.
