Did you mean milling instead of milking? I have no experience with a chainsaw mill, but I’d have to expect the 572 to be superior with the better air filter and longer stroke.
Either one is a fine choice to run a 24/25, 28 or 32 in general forestry work. Throw on the big dawgs and let them eat. I really like both saws, but I own 441/461s because of dealer support in my area. That would probably be the tipping point. Oh, and Stihl bars & chain are better than anything you can get for a Husqvarna saw now that GB & Windsor are out of the U.S market or bought out in the case of Windsor. I ran Stihl chain when I was running Husqvarna saws.
Between the 462 & 572 it’s an easy choice for me. I’m no 462 fan. It feels very Euro (not strictly a bad thing) & like long bars were not considered it its design. The 572 seems like it will be a tree killing machine that’s overbuilt & can handle maybe a 3 footer in softwood. The 462 I ran seemed like it didn’t like having much more than 20” of bar in the wood. It didn’t balance very well with a 28 either.
