Hello,

I have a Stihl s10 where the notched pin that sticks out of a nut to drive the oil pump is broken off. The IPL calls it a "notched pin". I would like to make my own pin but do not know where the notch should be. From the parts list diagram, it looks like there is a slot lengthwise in the base of pin. Is that the notch?

Also, is the pin just pressed in or is it screwed in.

Thanks!

It is left hand metric fine thread. The hardened pin is knurled, and pressed in. I would buy a new one off ebay, heck they're only $5 bucks.
Make sure and use a metric crescent wrench too......

Many thanks.

Unfortunately, shipping is more than three times the cost of the item. CAD $25+ is too steep for a pin.

I'll have to look into getting that metric spanner.;)

I have a cresent wrench that is metric on one side and standard on the other. I also have a couple metric slotted screwdrivers.
