You can't go wrong with them. If there is a small tube behind the spark screen take it out and keep
it in case you need to go back to get warranty work done. if they have a cat in there, that's more work,
I do not like cats, I take them out one way or another and re tune the carb.
Some of them carbs have restrictors, you can google how to remove them too so you can
richen up the saw to keep in from running lean.
Nah, the 50cc Echos don't have a cat in them, they only have the tube and a restrictive deflector

I took the tube out of all my 501P echo saws, drilled two or three holes in the forward
facing side of the deflector, and filed them to make a slot about 15 mm / 5/8 inch high,
that seemed to be all they needed, though a ported one would need some more opening.
