Searched, lurked and read this site many months using the knowledge and experience here to help me decide on my chainsaw purchase. My Jred 535 runs great but the parts are harder to find now and I didn't want to have to run out and buy a replacement without learning more. I wanted a good saw for my budget and one that will last. The Jred is now the backup saw for my Makita 5121 for the last six trouble free months. You all do a tremendous service for the non professional with your input here and I just stopped by to let y'all know it. Thanks.

I agree 100%
I had chain saw questions too a while back and after a lengthy discussion, pros and cons, I decided to go with a sawsall with pruning blade someone suggested.
Been using it a couple of years and love it! So glad I didn't buy the chain saw.
This group is wonderful ... as long as the Political/Religious section is avoided ;)
