You better go see the general manager. I’d venture to say it’s worth even taking a day off work if you have to.

Hurry up and pay all the amounts asked for or. I went through this not long ago with a friend of mine. He rents a car in the winter spins out going around a corner and nicks the front bumper in the snow bank. The bumper was still on, but the screwed mounting came loose. He is afraid it will fall off while driving so he pulls it off and then he calls me asking what to do. I tell him to find some good body shop and have it repaired to factory perfect and return it. He says that would cost at least fifteen hundred dollars. I tell him that is very cheap so he returns it anyway. A couple of months go by and he receives a bill from the rental for thirty six thousand dollars. They auctioned the car off for three thousand then with towing charges storing charges and documentation charges it came to thirty six thousand after replacing with a new vehicle. He goes to a lawyer and they tell him to pay it. He then calls me back. After going through all the paper work I discover that they had not taken in to account for depreciation. After several letters and a court date we agree on seventeen thousand dollars. He is very grateful, but seventeen grand poorer. It took him all his earned wages after paying his living expenses more than a year to pay it. Thanks

My buddy bought a vw young and uneducated of vehicles.

Repairs where so expensive he signed his name on the title and left both at the shop.

    Never heard anything since.

There was no damage. The latch assembly was not catching the d hook on the car. And this was back in July, and on top I never took photos. Which, again, wouldn't show any damage unless you used a caliper and somehow got the camera in between the latching components?

I plan to keep $50 weekly payments. Maybe biweekly.

I'll see if court papers get served.

**** them. My rear doors still leaked anyways after they found nothing wrong.

Different dealer later found both speakers with bad gaskets.

    Shady fuks....

None of this is adding up.

The latch failed on a near new loaner car, nothing apparently you caused. Wear and tear, bad parts, worn, etc.

For some reason you agreed to a ~$700 repair, which to me is nuts, I would have had sorry, no way! Opened trunk to put luggage and it broke!

Anyhow, your insurance paid it minus the $500 deductible.

Car House wants the $500 still owed, which you agreed to months back, and now it's somehow an issue and you feel you can "punish" them by giving them a payment here and there like you are holding out a carrot in front of a horse?

Yup. If they actually file it, if there's still a balance I'll pay it in full.

    Mailed out a 3rd one! I'm 150 into it!

No names mentioned, but for vw certified service I'd recommend staying out of north east grand Rapids, MI

Invoice said no issues found. Another dealer took door apart and discovered dry and cracking gaskets.

Vwoa corporate made it right for my hassle and permitted one accessory of my choice on their dime.

    OEM cargo bars. Oh yeah.
