Just took a lot of apple trees and a good size pear. This tree possibly a pear but not sure. Bark is similar

Feels very similar in density as the pear
Got one pic of the leaf in The background Of a pic. Looks similar to pear and cherry. That’s a pear cut up in the pic, guess I can’t load a screen shot. The tree is behined the pear and there’s a leaf at the top of the pic

Sure has nice grain and color. I took one slab off the trunk. It’s 5” thick and 34” long. About 13”-20” wide

Sure looks like Pear to me but I'm concerned with the dark staining - maybe rot starting? The pith looks a little punky.
No it’s extremely hard and solid besides some of the center of the tree at the bottom. I seen a guy on YouTube say it’s moisture and it will go away. It does feel moist there where it’s dark. When I scratch it with my nail it’s very hard
