Tree ID #2, please

Another pair of large trees on the back fence row.
There's a small maple growing in front of them.
No low branches, couldn't get a good close up of the leaves, but they appear to be roundish? Maybe cottonwood?
Any ideas what this is? Is the one next to it the same?

maybe cherry? doesn't quite look right...get a closer/clear pic of the bark.

The bark almost looks like old sycamore bark, but the white bark would be very obvious higher up and the leaves are nowhere near right.
 
Here are more photos..

It's a group of three trees, two look similar and the other, the light gray one, looks like a giant privet to me.
The larger trees don't have any low branches, and all the leaves up there look the same to me.

Really? Where? I know that one from my Chinese tonic herbs. :)
You talking about in the crotch? That's the butt end of a broken limb.
To the right of the word mine. But on further inspection it now looks like the broken limb you mentioned. Reishi is real good with Cordyceps. You use Reishi?
