Tree Identification

Came across a bunch of these small trees the other day. The area is somewhat sandy as far as the land goes. There were a few mixed in with Pine/Oak/Cherry/Spruce. When cut or a twig was broken, the wood gave off a very pleasant, almost citrusy scent.
These trees were very young still I believe.

Looks like a Box Elder
Hard to tell at that stage.
Have to check and see the flower chart for trees.
Let the leaves grow in and you'll identify it for sure then.

Give us a pic of the nature leaf in a few days. Almost looks like Apple.

The green twig, flower, and citrus like smell say sassafras.
