could anyone tell me which type of trees these are

Yes pics of the canopy and leaves would allow us to better determine what your looking at. Could be a maple, could be an elm, could be a few different species that are common in our Acadian forests

Both trees have these leaves even though the bark is different

You should know that emerald ash borer was very recently found in neighboring New Brunswick. If these are trees you care about and want to keep or if they are close to properties, you should think about what you will do to manage them.
