Hey unc I found that giant rock you hid under my house a while ago. You can come by anytime and pick it up.
(Putting in a new, larger sump pump basin, found this, had to rig it out with a strap, blocks and a jack.)

Sump pump pit number 2.
That was very clever fastening 2 plastic buckets together to make a sump pump basin.
The wire and plastic sheet were a great addition as well.
Save a bundle and save the environment.

A little update, dug out the old sump basin, and look what we find.
Old basin removed.

PVC pipe with holes drilled by installer, ending outside of basin,
rusty thing is piece of metal gutter downspout going somewhere under floor??? .

Apparently you can put the footer on top of the concrete floor.
If you happen run out of blocks and have forgotten your block stretcher
Just stuff the hole with old newspaper.

Every now and then I return to a bathroom remodel to add a little 'upgrade' to the water system. No charge, of course. Just out of the goodness of my heart.
