Got my eye on this. Has just over 400hrs and it’s well taken care of. Farmer used it from time to time to clear trees. Been doing a lot of sitting. 80hp Perkins on it.

    $9K is asking price.

Good deal? And what were/are the known issues (if any) with this model?

    Thanks

I’ve owned one, have worked on several more. No issues per se, they’re a solid machine. The most common complaint I hear is that they’re heavy, around 1000#’s more than the BC 1000 that replaced it. They still seem well supported by Vermeer, if the 400 hours are indeed correct I would say it’s a good deal. can you post a picture of infeed table, assuming it’s original paint you can tell a lot about wear by looking at it. Since it’s been privately owned, it’s should be extremely nice cosmetically. The Perkins is not a cheap date, give it a hard going over.
