Vermeer 620 - will it mulch or shred?

HI there,

I'm new to using a chipper and or mulcher shredder - i have about 20 acres and lots of trees/grass etc. the Vermeer was recommended to me to chip, but i really am looking for something that will shred/mulch grass, leaves, twigs etc as well. does anyone know if this Vermeer 620 will do so? thanks for your help in advance!

Wood chippers are designed to make wood chips. I've been in the industry 15 years and don't know of a chipper that shreds or creates mulch. Mulch is created by a horizontal/tub grinder as it has screens and a mill. Rotochopper makes a wood chip processor. You can take the wood chips and put them in and it makes mulch.
