There are a lot of folks hot on the old classic powerhouse chainsaws like the McCulloch Super Pro 125 the 797 etc. These monsters were designed to run the old copper colored leaded fuels. What are people running in them today? Lead additive?
Or ?

They all run just fine on non-oxygenated premium, just avoid anything with ethanol in it which will degrade any rubber parts and the carbs. If you want good shelf life buy the canned fuel and mix to 32:1 or 40:1, if you can get some 101LL aviation fuel you'd be in fine shape as well. There's no need for lead in a 2-stroke, there's no valve seats that need protection like there is in a car engine. Pretty much anything that has enough octane will work just fine and those old saws weren't hot rods by any means, they'll go just fine on 87 or higher.

10-4. I think you are 100% on that. And you showed your age on the valve seat part. Lol.
Thanks again brother!
