what kind of wood is this

    what kind of wood is this
    i just got 3 or 4 truck loads
    and is this wood ok to burn in the fireplace or wood stove

    Looks like poplar. Not tulip “poplar” Better get it split and stacked before it turns to mush. It looks like it’s almost there already. It’ll burn. It’s not the most desirable firewood. One of the less dense “hardwoods” pout there.
